The Yardsale Blog
The Fair Oaks Street Fair is this weekend! Five blocks of treasure hunting in balmy 75 degree weather? Sounds good to us.
Are you a master thrifter? If not (and even if so), Rookie Mag is here to help with this handy guide to truly skilled thrifting.
The Treasure Island Flea is this weekend (January 28-29), in the form of an indoor pop-up! Yardsale will be on site with a booth both days, and we’ll be giving away goodies and raffling off all kinds of hot retro items. Stop by and say ahoy!
Chairs may be an ordinary item today, but they weren’t always so easy to come by. In fact, chairs were originally a symbol of state and dignity (hence, words like “chairman”) and weren’t commonly found and used until the 16th century. Since then, chair design has evolved into a bona fide art form.
So here’s to chairs, and keeping our butts comfy and elevated! Here are some lovely chairs we found on Yardsale.
- Navy and yellow chevron chair, Knoxville, TN
- 1920s metal office chair, Knoxville, TN
- Antique children’s desk and chair, Concord, CA
- Fusion dinner table with four chairs, Lower Haight, San Francisco, CA
- Black tulip chair, Bayview, San Francisco, CA
- Zuo sniffer barstool, Mission, San Francisco, CA
